Dave's background is in engineering (B Sc. Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University), and it is the foundation of his  systematic and analytical strengths. He has applied his engineering strengths in a multitude of ways, and they, combined with his management consulting experience, have informed his ability to think in systemic, strategic, and action-oriented ways, and keen desire to see implementation produce results.

Dave's experience includes time with a hedge fund in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and working as a consulting engineer in the upstream oil and gas industry (Noetic Engineering). Dave honed his project management skills with Noetic Engineering and, in 2016, when the company went through a restructure, he moved to a product line group of the parent company (Volant Oil Tools). This move helped shift Dave's experience from project management to program and outcomes management. He provided leadership and support to planning and coordination activities through a multi-disciplinary lends, including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing/Delivery, Engineering, and the executive team. His support helped the company promote and enhance sustainability, efficiency, and profitability.

Since joining M Consulting, Dave has delivered strategic plans, business plans and processes, operational efficiency recommendations, and evaluation and reporting frameworks and processes for public, private, and non-profit clients. He has also provided internal support for the M team, providing analysis, insight and project management to a small but busy consulting group.
